What does it matter what really is? In part 5 of the “Is it Really a Black Hole Series”, LPPFusion Chief Scientist Eric J. Lerner points out that discoveries in astrophysics can have profound impacts here on earth.

LPPFusion President and Chief Scientist Eric J. Lerner will present proposals for “A Faster Route to Fusion” at the Fusion Energy Symposium, a hearing sponsored by NJ State Senator Joe Pennachio (R-26) at the State House Annex in Trenton NJ.

In part 4, LPPFusion Chief Scientist Eric J. Lerner explains that most astrophysicists don’t consider the possibility that condensed objects can be plasmoids because they are using a wrong approximation to calculate plasma behavior.

Ivy will be presenting at a Mensa event on May 30 to explain why a successful implementation of the Green New Deal requires fusion energy. Eric will be there as well to answer technical questions.

In part 3 of the “Is it Really a Black Hole Series”, LPPFusion Chief Scientist Eric J. Lerner shows that the image could have been created by a plasmoid, not an “almost black hole”. A plasmoid is a magnetically-confined plasma object.

In part 2 of “Is it Really a Black Hole Series”, LPPFusion Chief Scientist Eric J. Lerner explains that any condensed object like the one at the center of must have lost most of its angular momentum for it to collapse in radius.

We've merged the beryllium cathode with its silver-coated steel plate and steel brace.

We baked out the silicone gasket and O-ring that help seal our vacuum chamber. We baked them out in this small oven chamber at 200 C. The rate of outgassing dropped by a factor of 300. Again reducing impurities.

Eric shares a secret on how to use the ultrasound soldering iron on beryllium...

The team is working on securing high conductivity contacts between the 4 plates carrying the electrodes...1.5 plates more to go before the electrodes can be mounted onto the Focus Fusion device.

We're explaining how our fusion device is put together and some improvements we're making here.

We began the final stage of assembly of our new beryllium electrodes, transferring the beryllium anode into our nitrogen-filled glove box to protect us from any contact with beryllium dust and to protect the anode from water vapor and oxygen in the air.

Out with the old, in with the new! We installed two new switches on the Focus Fusion device with new ceramic plates protecting thin Mylar sheets and new spark plugs. If these two work well, we will replace the other six switches right away and get fewer breakdowns, more firing.

Syed installed the new Axial Field Coil (AFC)! The wire coil controls the spin on the plasmoid in our Focus Fusion device. It’s now protected by high-temperature materials: quartz glass coil, aluminum oxide ceramic connections (white) and titanium-nitride coated wire supports.

As most would expect, the backup wasn't completely up to date. The posts that were not part of the backup will be "recreated" for completeness.
